A Glock 19 that will be 21 years old next month that went 18 years before failing to feed a couple of times. Following a tune-up with new springs throughout, it's 100% again.
But I also have other guns that have been 100% reliable with many hundreds of rounds fired--a few of them with several thousand rounds fired through them. SIG P229 and P220, Ruger P345 and two other Glocks--a newer G19 & a G26. None of them have the reliability track record of that old G19.

my most reliable pistol is my Kimber classic stainless target. Iv only had one ftf in just under 4,000 rounds(the ftf occurred after the 3500 rnd mark). still running 10-11 year old recoil spring and factory mag. I do plan on changing the recoil spring before I shoot it next time, its long over due.

I'm surprised that no has already mentioned the Makarov. My two Norinco Toks, one in 7.62X25 and one in 9MM, have behaved perfectly along with a little Iver Johnson TP22 that's never failed me.*
The above 4 guns have each had quite a few thousands of rounds run through them by yours personally over the years and they've all been dead-nuts reliable. The 7.62 Norinco did fail to cycle a few times but I found out that it was due to some slightly over-sized shells in some surplus ammo I had. The necks were getting stuck in the chamber & wouldn't eject.
* To be fair, I haven't shot any bulk-pack ammo through the TP22; it's always been hyper-velocity stuff as per the maker's recommendations.

You took the words right out of my mouth. The MAK is one of the most reliable pistols ever made. My East German MAK not only never malfunctioned but it never malfunctioned with any kind of ammo I fed it including some reloads. Come to think of it, I never should have sold it. LOL.

They are pretty impervious to magazines also, I've got a rusty soviet surplus magazine that my E. German mak treats just like an oiled pristine German mag.

Zero malfunctions from day one
Glock 17 Gen2 a TON of rounds..no issues since 1990 I believe.
Glock 26 since about 1996 have a 27 in OD also. No issues

Supposedly any Glock, because they had some incredibly tough standards in order to get the contracts. I vote for them because M1911's are made by so many different companies of variable quality.
The most "reliable" handgun is the one that has had all of the parts properly fitted. Regardless of brand. For every Colt owner who claims that their gun has never choked (and I believe you) I have had plenty on my bench that had problems from sloppy QC at the factory. In the years I worked on these things I saw a lot more Colts with tolerance and fitting problems than Springfields. Colt used machines for many many years that were simply worn out from so many years of running them. Fortunately they have finally addressed the problem with new CNC machines.

I have to list several because the all are reliable. Browning has a winner in the Buckmark, load it, shoot it and do it again, it's always ready and never fails. The Mk 1 .22 has had a lot of rounds through it since I got it in 1966. It's trained a lot of young shooters over the years too. The LCP lives in my pocket and has had nearly 1000 rounds through it in the past couple years. The SR9 is one of my favorite range pistols and has nearly as much ammo through it as the LCP. The SR40c and P345 have fewer rounds through them since they are relatively new. None of these pistols has given me anything but perfect functionality. All are moderately priced and a bargain if you're looking for a economical, quality pistol that works and works well it's hard to beat Ruger or for a good .22 The Browning Buckmark.

Steyr GB, I put probably 15,000 rounds through that gun and the only failures were one bag mag and one guy who was really limp wristing it. Even a gas operated gun has to have something to recoil against to work.

Here's how I see it: 3rd gen G19, 17, 20SF, 21SF & 26, Beretta 92 & M9 series, CZ 75 & SP-01 series, S&W 629, Ruger Redhawk, S&W M&P 9, Ruger GP-100 & Browning Buckmark. These guns have gone bang everytime, cycled everytime and consistently hit the target.
