This woman was charged with carrying a concealed weapon so she obviously didn't have the proper liscenses. She was charged appropriately for her actions.

Was she?

Brandishing, absolutely. Going armed to the terror of the public, I'd call that a yes. Even child endangerment is likely fair game if she was "waving it around" as they describe.

But...how do they KNOW the gun was concealed illegally?

How do they know it wasn't in plain sight, or locked away, both LEGAL ways of permit-less carry in the state?

It's this charge alone that makes me feel kinda "meh" about the way they're going after her. Then again, maybe she confessed it.

Anyway, who am I to judge extreme charges? I was the the one defending myself for my support of drug dealers being charged with murder when their "customers" OD...

Can't see that there are any antis involved.
I do see an idiot with a firearm providing more ammunition to the antis, though.

I think they have a tendency to charge people like this with everything they can, so they have some charges to drop when they offer a plea deal. In all likelihood she'll plead out to one or two charges, possibly lessened, and the others will get dropped.

Regardless, it sure appears that she acted like an idiot.

I was an officer[treasurer] of N.Houston National Little league, the kids were great, some of the parents belonged in a mental hospital. Actually had one mother threaten my life if I didn't reverse a bad call by an umpire against her son. Most of the officers myself included carried as it was my job to make the nightly bank deposit which averaged $500, during the candy sale that figure was closer to $3000.Our bank was the Airline Bank on Airline Drive, someplace you didn't want to be after dark!
