Picked up a new toy today. A "Tacticool" Ruger 10-22. It has the older all metal action, an aluminum Nordic Receiver, free float handguard, 3-9x32 scope, and a tactical solutions super light threaded barrel.

Also came with a case, laser, light, foldable iron sights, and a forearm grip, which I have removed. Seller said it is a tack driver.

That looks awesome 10/22 is a awesome plinker, I got the latest in the all weather model. I'm going to add a lefty stock, new barrel, and scope. Going to use it as my tree rat killer.

You will have loads of fun.

Seems to me that if the action and barrel have been replaced it is no longer a 10/22 but something altogether different. Where is the old action and barrel? That is a seperate rifle with different serial#'s. Interesting looking rifle but not a Ruger. FRJ

I suppose you would say my Miata is no longer a Miata too. Just because it has been swapped with a LS3 V8, aftermarket subframe, GM transmission, Cadillac Differential, aluminum driveshaft, custom valved shocks, aftermarket control arms, Willwood brakes, and lotus seats. It is still a miata to me, just with a little more performance. :neener:

Nice rifle!

Nobody said anything about replacing the receiver. You don't "replace" the receiver anyway, you don't buy a rifle and then replace the receiver, along with everything else. You buy an aftermarket receiver and build from scratch. Either way, he's using a factory receiver which is still a Ruger. As much as a custom Mauser 98 is still a custom Mauser 98. The Nordic AR-22 is a chassis that encloses the Ruger receiver. What any of this matter is beyond me.

I like it! Never mind the irrelevant semantics; that is one nifty looking 10/22!

You know, I have the better part of 20,000 round of .22LR ammo here. If you want, I can "break-it-in" for you. :D

That is really a very sharp-looking carbine!
