I've had the blues lately,,,
The deep-low-down and dirty kind,,,
The kind of blues that only a new gun can cure.
Ever since shooting my friend's new Bersa Thunder UC Pro 9mm pistol,,,
Those blues have been on me like hell-hounds on my trail,,,
So to cure them I took off to The Evil Pawn Shop,,,
Ordered me a 13 round Bersa Pro UC 9mm,,,
And two magazines in 10 and 13 round.
It took me a while to justify another handgun,,,
But it dawned on me that I didn't have a 10 rounder,,,
What if I traveled somewhere that didn't allow hi-cap mags?
I did the research and found out,,,
The 10 and 13 round models are identical,,,
The only difference is which magazine they ship with.
So if I ever decide to visit Colorado,,,
I can leave the puny 7 round LC9 at my home,,,
And travel the roads confident that I'm armed to the limit.
How's that for rational justification.
Feel free to use this with your significant other.
But seriously folk,,,
I did fire one a few weeks back,,,
I really liked the way that it felt in my hand.
The DA/SA action is perfect for me,,,
It's only a tiny amount bigger than my Thunder 380,,,
And it loads with 13 rounds of the much more potent 9mm cartridge.
It's been described as "chunky",,,
That's not the word I would use for it,,,
But the "hefty" feel did seem to tame the recoil.
I have heard it called the poor man's Sig-Sauer,,,
After shooting hers I say it more resembles a CZ-2075 RAMI BD.
This will be my first pistol with polygonal rifling,,,
Is the general consensus to not use lead bullets in it?,,,
Is there anything special I should know about its care and cleaning?
Anyways, the Evil Pawn Shop Guy called it in today,,,
So I'm looking at next Thursday but maybe Wednesday.
The $436.00 price he quoted me includes the sales tax,,,
That's a few dollars cheaper than Buds price,,,
There's no transfer fee, so I'm happy,,,
That's for the Duotone model.
