Went shooting this morning up in the mountains and then came home and then i decided i wanted to go back so i went up and shot for an hour or so and rite when i was done shooting my last round I'm towards the back of my car taking my mag out.And i still had my hearing protection on i here this weired beeping sound..didnt think much then i heard it again and looked around a sall the sheriff vehicle with its lights flashing on his truck,then rite when i looked i could hear on the megaphone thing they have "Put your weapon on the car"..Man o Man was i scared like a little girl...I put weapon on my trunk lid and took my hearing protection off and walked away from my car and stopped and waited for him to come out..I was shaking i have no idea why i was something about being next to a cop and having a sar-1 in your hands doesn't make for a fun time..lol.....
He was very nice and said he was trying to get people not to shoot where i was shooting because some people were aiming very far out and there was a road..He asked me if i was shooting the cans and i said yes and said i could shoot there the rest of the night if i didn't shoot up where there was a road..then he asked me for my id..and i felt in my back pocket and it wasn't there...lol..man by this time i was not so nervous and looked and told him it was on my front seat..i told him where it was and should he get it or me..and he asked if i had any more guns in the car..i said no and he said i could get it...wow..what a way to end a day..He asked that i leave the gun on the car until he drove away....
