I’m new to this forum so if this post is in the wrong thread, feel free to delete it. That being said, I just purchased a Pardner Pump Protector last month. I wanted a low cost gun (not cheep) because this gun was going to be under the bed, in the corner, or under the seat of my truck 90% of it’s life. Yes, I wanted a 870 express but after shopping gun shops, pawn shops, and gun shows for 6 months I never found on in the price range I was looking for ($200 or less- used). I had decided to buy a Moss 500 so I waited for them to go on sale at the local sporting goods store. When they did, I went in to buy one and saw the PPP next to it. I compared both guns side by side and, hands down, the PPP was the better gun. The fit and finish where better, the receiver is milled from steal where as the moss is aluminum, and the slide had much less play compared to the Moss. I went home and did a little research and, for what I was looking for, the PPP fit the bill. It doesn’t have any bells or whistles but I wasn’t looking for that. I was a little leery about a gun made in China but I figured for the price ($160.12 out the door) if it didn’t live up to my expectations I’d just sell it and chalk it up to me being just a little too cheap. Well, now I have put multiple boxes of #7 shot, 00 Buckshot, and Mag slugs through it without one problem!!!! This little gun is a natural pointer. Just my 2 cents but the PPP is a nice inexpensive shotgun and would make a great home defense gun or truck gun. Besides who wants a nice 870 banging around under the seat of there truck or under the bed where it can’t be admired?
