New Design on 870?

I just picked up a remington 870 express synthetic (the new design, not the "checkered"........my first shotgun) and noticed that it only has enscribed Remington 870 on the side of the shotgun and NOT Remington 870 Express, eventhough I did purchase an express. I know on the older or checkered design it had express on the shotgun if it was indeed an express and so on......Are they not putting express on the gun anymore? and just putting Remington 870? I just want to make sure that what I got in the box and what is printed on the box is indeed the shotgun that I paid for......an Express 870? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yep, I guess thats the way their doin it now. The 870 I had didnt say express on it either I dont think.

Of course, the good thing is that if you didn't get an Express, you got something higher up the chain. (Not that there is a thing bad about a Remington 870 Express)

Yes, it is an Express. Remington has changed its rollmarks on the 870 throughout the years.
