Well i brought my new baby home today:D I bought a glock-29 about a week ago, it was back ordered, but it came in today(yay).
I put on the finger extension and my grip feels very nice to me.
Now i have to find time to go shoot it:mad: as i am going to be very busy the next two weekends.

You too? I've been immensely pleased with my recently purchased G29. It and a Springfield XD45 have pretty much been taking up all my shooting time these days.

Those Pearce +0 baseplate extensions really makes an already comfortable gun even easier to shoot better. It's such an amazing balance of big-bore power and control with just a push vs. snap recoil. In fact, it took just one outing with a friend who has a G29 to convince me to finally buy my very first Glock. Actually, I shot his over several months before buying mine, but the "buy me" call was there from the start.

I shoot new ammo Georgia Arms Gold Dot 180s and 155s thru mine, as well as Winchester 175-gr Silvertips. Plus some Blazer 200-gr FMJs. Even Doubletap 165-gr GDHPs are not uncomfortable and everything I shoot thru mine is damn accurate.

I've got to get some of my old trustworthies (1911, S&W28, S&W442, S&W 686 to name a few) out of the safe so they don't feel forgotten! But sheesh I'm having the time of my life with the Glock 29!

I think the next handgun purchase will be a G29. I enjoy my G20 and would like to get it's little brother.

The 10MM is a great round and is a hoot to reload. If you don't reload yet may I suggest you give it a try.;)

Actually i was thinking of reloading for more than the 10mm, also for 7.62, i guess its time to put that plan in action:D

This G29 is probably a little more "ergonomically pleasing"

How so??

I have had, at various times, two G30s and a G29.
The grip is to fat and I have trigger reach trouble.
God knows I've given the platform more than a chance!!
A the gun shop I frequented got a G36 in and traded it straight across!!

It has been my constant companion ever since.

If you'll take a good look at the one in the pic, you'll see that it's been reduced substantially, front and back, and a trigger-finger channel has been added. This channel makes the distance to the trigger shorter for folks with short fingers. This particular one has channels on both sides because the customer practices extensively with both hands (as he should). The oval mag release also makes it a little easier to reach the release without rolling the gun in the hand.

Denfoote: Are you ABSOLUTELY sure that your G36 has been your "constant companion" for every minute? Didn't have any problems that had to be resolved? :)

Oh. OK. Now I see it!!

Who did the work, Robbie Barkman??

No, we do it here at my shop. "Glocksmithing" is one of our mainstays here. We have also recently added Duracoat to our list services.

None that were not because of my own stupidity!!

Like when I installed the extended slide stop or the learning curve to shoot the little guy in the first place!!

Oh, there have been times it sat in the safe, but I find that I always come back to my beloved G36!!
