New Remington 597 aperture sights

Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know about a new sight for the Remington 597 that we have just introduced at Tech-SIGHTS. The sight is fully click adjustable for windage and elevation. The rear sight clamps to the scope rail grooves on the top of the receiver and the front sight mounts the same way as the original 597 sight. It gives you the classic aperture/post sight picture that so many of us are familiar with. Here is a shot of the sight. The sight will be available on the sight on our website this week. Have three of these for other rifles and love them, don't have a 597 though. How about one for the Contender?

Nice! I was quite happy when I discovered these sights for the Marlin 795 since I strongly prefer that to the Ruger 10/22. But the more rifles these sights can be put on, the better!

Since it clamp to weaver rail, what other rifles it would work? How much elevation adjustment from the reat sight? Price out yet? Is it metal or plastics?

I was looking at buying a 597 last summer. I actually passed because Tech Sights didn't make sights for it.

Assuming a reasonable price, I will be buying one of these. I prefer irons, but the stock front post on the 597 is too bulbous. This looks like the answer to the problem.

The sights are all metal. The rears sight is all steel and the front sight tower base is a sturdy aluminum finished in hard coat anodizing with the remainder of the parts all steel. The price is $69.00 + $6.00 S/H.
