I usually don't post about it when I get a new firearm, But I gotta brag about this one.
If the story sounds chopped and abbreviated It's because I don't want to drag it out.
Gentlemen I know runs a mobile home park. We shoot and talk guns all the time. He tells me someone in the park wants to sell a bolt action .308. I say cool let me know when. Month or two goes by and I bring it up again. He calls the guy and we go over.
The gentlemen selling the gun says he has to sell his gun because he can not hunt anymore. His feet are bad and he can not walk long distances. So he goes to the closet pulls out a gun sock and proceeds to pull out an absolute mint condition browning BAR Shorttrac in .308, with a scope. Wood, metal, bore, all perfect. Here is the best part. I ask him how many rounds through the rifle, he says about 100. I ask how much. He says "well this one has the belgium rollmark and those are a little more sought after. They go for between 800-1200 online."
He says "450$".
I say sold before the 0 even leaves his mouth. Papers are in, 9 more days. Pictures to follow.
