Have you been able to side by side test your AMT to the Kel Tec PMR-30? If so, how does it compare? I love the idea of a .22 mag auto-loader.

I keep a M&P45 with laser on my night stand and just bought a nice used TLR-2 for it (not here yet). I love the M&P and am sure the TLR-2 will be a better option than the laser alone. My ammo of choice is Federal HST 230gr +P. Also, though not ON my night stand I have a Saiga .410 shotgun with 00 buckshot. It's not yet converted so, for the moment, I'm stuck with standard magazines.

1) Our English Bulldog, Dixie, is our alarm at the foot of the bed.
2) Have a master switch by my bed that I can turn every light in the house on/off with a single switch.
3) Cell phone on top of night stand.
4) S&W 1911 loaded with Winchester Ranger-T hollow points in the night stand drawer
5) In the corner beside the night stand, I have a Benelli Nova h2o pump with a +2 extension full of #1 buck.

If ever needed, my wife gets the 1911 and goes to the master bathroom in our bedroom with the cell phone and I'm grabbing the Nova pump. My son knows if he hears any kind of loud commotion in the middle of the night to crawl under his bed which has a series of cabinet style doors/drawers where one is just a large opening until either I or his mother comes and gets him.

- .357 Mag Ruger SP101 with 2" barrel
- .38 Spl Taurus Model 85 with 2" barrel


In the nightstand drawer, canister of OC spray, Benchmade folder, SureFire 6P LED light, 2 sets of cuffs, and collapsible baton.

In the bedroom closet, my 14" barrel 12 gauge Mossberg 590A1 with SureFire Weaponlight and 5 in the mag, 1 in the tube, and 7 on the side saddle:

Rocky My golden retriever patrols the house, way I figure it, is he'll distract any intruders by imposing cuddle time on them , while I grab the XDM 45 off the night stand, or the SIG p229 (40 S&W) in the gun-vault . If things go horribly bad , I have a 590 w/ buckshot and a Sig516 available lol

in the living room a S&W mammerless 3rd model in .38 SW.

I live in an apartment by myself, there is a main entrance that is always locked, and the front door of my apartment is always locked, I'm not too concerned about anyone breaking in the front. They would have to be very motivated. However, a sliding screen / glass door is all that protects me in my bedroom. I keep an old Mossberg 500 loaded up with 3" 00 within arms reach, just in case.

In my living room I have a Mossberg Mariner 590 loaded up with 3" 00 by my couch, and an old S&W .357 mag by my computer desk.

My c arry gun (S&W 9VE) + extra mag, the wife's S&W airlite .22 are on the nightstand along with a mini maglight. But no one would ever get past my 3 cats .

My main EDC which gets put on my nightstand when not on me...1911 SA GI .45 JHPs, cell phone, and Mossberg 500 loaded with 6 shots of 00 Buck rests in the corner behind my room door. Also keep a Glock 19 w/JHPs downstairs in my office for when I am on my computer. Soon to have another 12 Guage in my downstairs closet by the front door. Semper Paratus even when not on duty
