Here is what my wife has available while I'm working nights. When I'm at home on days off, I keep my Glock 22 close by. My wife shoots the Beretta really well even though it's big.
Like others have mentioned on here, I usually put the gun I've been carrying all day on the nightstand, so it does change a bit.
Tonight, when I get home from work, I'll start wearing my Kimber (Ultra Crimson Carry II) around the homestead, so that's the one that'll go on the nightstand tonight. I'm carrying a little Bodyguard 380 right now, and that will go on the nightstand for the evening as well.
I don't need any lights or lasers. I know my home better than any perp would even if it was a off there rocker family member or friend. I come out of a dead sleep with vim and vigor. With no visual issues other than I'm near blind without my specticals. Light and lasers give me a real refection issue.
Springfield XD9 W/16 Rounds Winchester SXT Ranger 127 Grain +P+ Ammo and Insight M3 LED light That Should Get The Job done and if not, there's a Winchester 1300 Defender with pistol grips and 7 or 8 rounds of #2 Buckshot backing it up!
Beretta Px4 Storm Type G Full Size LE .40 S&W with factory-installed Trijicon night sights, LaserMax laser sight, and Insight Technology M3X LED weapon light.
My G30 with trijicon nightsights and a G21 loaded into it with a spare mag beside it. Its also my carry gun. Its my mule gun, it just works and works and never says a word.
