My local Academy recieved no ammo today. Nothing. Nada.
Yes. You'd think if you that much spare time, you'd reload. What are you camped outside the door waiting for the truck to pull up? Sheesh.
Bingo.Unfortunately, the folks that are buying everything as the truck is unloading are also the ones selling on armslist at triple prices. The gouging will stop and shipments will actually hit the shelves when folks stop buying from gougers/resellers.
Local Academy had Winchester 22lr for the first time in months today. I didn't buy any because I already have plenty.
Ha! You got me there. I will say I was tempted the last time I bought a case of 9mm to sell half online to pay for the other half. I decided I'd rather keep it and shoot it myself. How unAmerican! You're supposed to buy all you can and then sell it to people who have none at outrageous prices.
Yes I and about 30-45 others are waiting in hopes of buying a box of ammo at a decent price. Our other options are $70 for a 50 round box of 9mm at one LGS or just give up on shooting. The other LGS's don't even have a single box of it. The highest price I'll pay for 9mm is 30 cents a round including tax. I've been able to pick it up at Academy when they get it for 28 cents a round including tax. Now if you know where I can pick up 20 cases of 9mm then let me know because that would allow me to finish out the year on my regular shooting schedule. If not don't question my methods to secure the ammo I need to at least finish out the last 3 months of this year. What are you camped outside the door waiting for the truck to pull up? Sheesh.
