No Guns allowed at Buffalo Wild Wings

Never been to a Buffalo Wings. More reason not to go at all. Wings are my least favorite chicken "cut".

You guys should move to Illinois i've never walked into any restaurant that has a sign like that here in the land of Lincoln.

Seriously? You are joking, right? There are no signs in Illinois because nobody can legally carry a gun there. It is one of the worst states for gun rights, and freedoms in the entire U.S.

Couple points-

It is private property. The owner can put that restriction in place. Your choice to honor it or not.

In vast majority of cases, the franchisee's insurance company is requiring the signage. If they refuse, they can either lose policy or pay a significantly higher premium. Not enough gun carriers or their money to support a restaurant, so let's get over ourselves. Unless you are opening a restaurant targeting gun carriers, it's very simple math. Again, your individual choice to honor sign or not.

Not worth getting twisted about it. Really.

[USELESS POST]

Their wings suck anyway. And I can't carry anywhere that serves or sells alcohol in NC, so...

[/USELESS POST]

First---I got no dog in this fight! Here in Canada you cant carry ANYWHERE! My take is you should not ever lose sight of the reason you choose to carry in the first place! You carry so that you have some protection that cannot be provided by the police (unless one happens to be passing by when you really need him). So-- the above begs the question---why would you patronize any establishment where your personel saftey is diminished by the owner/operator?? In my opinion it dont matter whether or not he has a "right" to post his establishment or not!

Buffalo Wings has the no carry signs here in SW Ohio. Applebees is another one I won't go to any more.
So does LaRosa's pizza, Jungle Jims and a couple other dozen places there. You are welcome to cross the river here to Kentucky and enjoy the many fine establishments in Florence and elsewhere throughout the state which would love to have your business and others in Southwest Ohio. Look for that Florence Y'all sign by the water tower...

I love BW3s. I've never carried there as I suspect I will be having 3 or 4 beers.

I couldn't think of why I would feel a need to tell the manger about my gun carrying in the first place. Leave your gun in the car for crying out loud!! Buffalo Wild Wings ain't Buffalo Wild West. Busting some manager's chops about "your second amendment" rights sure ain't going to impress a dang soul.

The only one I ever went to was so loud inside I had to turn my hearing aid off. If a gunfight had errupted, nobody would have heard it over the blaring televisions. Dealing with 100dB noise while paying for mediocre slop? No thanks.

Part of the problem is probably that I do not drink.

Most likely cuz they have the bar in there / serve alcohol . Regardless, I'm still gonna eat there, great wings, on Tuesdays
beats frying up wings in my house too dang messy

I still think half of you are missing the point.

It's got a bar they serve alcohol.

Guns and alcohol don't mix.

Shoobee- Really? it's not like we are in a war zone

Trying to create a restaurant where CCW is not permitted is to make all patrons there vulnerable to robbery, assault, and murder.

Sort of like the whole state of California is, together with the other "may issue" states which *do not issue*.

I would not patronize them further either. It's not worth the risk. No food is worth dying for.

Wow...... Who started this thread anyway.......????
What a loser he must be......

If someone doesnt hear that you are taking your business elswhere, and the reason, will they ever understand why?

It may make a difference in a few establishments.

I find sending an e-mail to the company in question is a better way than talking to a manager. And copying the receipt of their competitor is always helpful.

Let sleeping dogs lie.................

1. The restaurant in the OP is in Texas.
2. The only signs that matter in Texas are 30.06 and 51%.
3. The sign the OP saw is COMPLETLY meaningless in Texas.
4. Notifying BWW corporate that they have a meaningless sign may cause them to put up a legally enforceable sign.

I got no dog in this fight so I am not sure why I am jumping in. I have not seen the signs in question at BWW.

I work for a grocery store chain in Texas. I took the time to actually look at our signs today. Because we sell beer and wine, we have a sign right next to the one about illegal to consume on premise. It say aome thing about "...posession of ILLEGAL firearms......". The TABC requires this sign. There is no 30.06 and the managers don't really give a flip if you are packing with a chl.

The required TABC sign is simply stating the obvious, kind of like a speed limit sign or "turn off motor before fueling" (yes it is a law). In my book, possessing an illegal weapon is illegal with or without a sign. Not an attack on 2nd amendment or blanket corporate policy.

as of right now, a sign like that IS valid in my state, Michigan. which sucks. there is a bill that has to be voted on yet in the state capitol to eliminate "gun free zones", which i have written my representative, asking him to vote to pass. i , like many others would love to see this kind of thing thrown out everywhere. if for no other reason than the people that you need to worry about, could care less about the sign, or law.personally, i hate disarming myself to go someplace. i do not like leaving a firearm alone in my vehicle. it is way to easy to get into any of them. and the only way i can put it into a lockbox is to get out of my vehicle, remove the gun, and then insert it into the box, and lock it. so it would not be hard at all for someone see me do that.

BW3s is not a gun free zone in MI.

Makes me no never mind. Can't stand that over-greased crap they call food anyway. Besides, my wife and I stopped going there for being seated by one employee, then yelled at and treated very rudely by another employee for sitting in a spot that had just been cleaned. :scrutiny: The stupid waitress then acted as though we just walked in and seated ourselves. :fire: As far as I'm concerned, they can sit and spin on their emblem. :neener:

In Texas, if 0ver 50 percent of the revenue comes from alcoholic drinks then its posted as "51"
which means no cc.

Any less and they cant post the sign

In texas, buildings with a 30.06 sign, a 51 sign, schools, hospitals, and govt buildings are the only ones you cant go in with a ccw

These signs are limited in texas

Some of the one that i have seen dont meet th minimum required by texas law
