Nordstrom stores have made it onto my do-not-buy-from list. I sent its customer service department an email:
I used to patronize your department stores in King of Prussia, PA. That stops today because if my gun can’t go with me, I am not going.

Nordstrom policy quoted from Ann article at:
https://www.firearmsnews.com/editorial/nordstrom-stores-ban-ccw-nationwide/

“Except for authorized law enforcement, we firmly believe there’s just no place for guns in our stores. We’re going to be more directly letting our customers know they’re not allowed to bring guns into stores. We’ll do this by posting front of house signage that explains our no guns in store policy. While the signs will make this policy more visible, this is not a major shift from our previous approach. In the past, if we saw a customer carrying a gun in our store, we’d ask them to remove it. We’ll continue doing that, only now we’ll have a more clearly written policy.
All U.S. stores will receive this signage, along with taking points, FAQs and training resources for store managers to help support conversations with customers. Signs should be posted on June 14th, 2021
While our no gun policy applies to all our stores in both the U.S. and Canada, given the unique environment in Canada, those stores do not need signs and will continue to follow existing processes.

Meh...a "High End" fashion retailer that (at least for the last twenty years or so) appeals to the aspirational (28-50 year old) professional female with progressive political tendencies; they recently dropped fur from their stores. Of course their announcement about prohibiting CCW is subject to many state requirements to carry the full weight of the law, depending on how carefully they implement it. Of course, no doubt, they can always ask just about anyone to leave their store for just about any reason. My plan is to spend even less money there than I do now, if that is even possible,,,,(!)

Are most of their stores already in "no weapons" policy areas, like malls?

Currently in my area, "policy" carries no legal weight more than a trespass issue if you are asked to leave don't immediately comply.

They have their policies, and I have my policies. Concealed means concealed.

I've carried in Nordstrom. (They sell really nice wool dress socks.) I didn't know they had a policy against CCW. I guess it doesn't bother me to know that they did. It may be in their interest to have a non-published policy on it, which they can always bring up if there is some kind of incident. Publicizing it - especially with that particular verbiage - strikes me as somewhat performative, and I take it to mean that "my type" is not welcome in the place. I imagine I can buy my socks somewhere else.

It is not our policy for discussions to turn to not complying with businesses; or disobeying laws. Express your disagreement by not going there or contacting management.

Thus, the issue is clear and closed.
