I heard a rumor that Norinco is no longer importing any guns of any type to the US.
True/false/hogwash?
True/false/hogwash?
Partially true. They just can't import any of the fun stuff due to clinton.
There are two separate EO's banning certain Norinco imports. One is from the Clinton era, but another is from 2003. Hmmm. Who was President in 2003? Let me think ...
There's one for the Quotes file.DoubleTapDrew said:Maybe if China would use less lead in their paint the price of ammo wouldn't be so bad.
The more recent ban on "Norinco" firearms was done by Bush in retaliation for finding that Norinco had supplied war materiel to the enemy.
I don't have a major problem with that.
It's not strange at all. The Soviets lost the Cold War, so we won. Therefore, there's no grudge on our part. Souvenirs of the Soviet era--"spoils of the Cold War"--are fine to have.def4pos8 said:Strangely, I feel nothing but warm fuzzies for Ishmash (sp?) /Kalashnikov. Strangely, I feel nothing but warm fuzzies for Ishmash (sp?) /Kalashnikov. Mikhail and his successors are the originals. If I were ever to purchase an AK, I'd like to have it supplied by a Russian. Of course, we can't buy those either.
