Not a good tactic

We've been over this ad nauseum. Don't pull your gun out unless you're in fear for your life. It's called brandishing and will get you in trouble...

About 2 weeks ago, in DC, Detective Baylor (sp?) was filmed with his gun in hand. The gun was drawn in response to a bunch of snowball throwers. Wasn't a good tactic for him, either, although he wasn't arrested on the spot. Haven't heard any follow up on this.

Maybe the snowball throwers were putting chunks of rock in the middle of the snowballs like some bad kids in my neighborhood used to do. Those bad kids did not ever get better either.

But seriously folks, brandishing or worse for stuff like this should get you a couple of years suspension or maybe worse from CCW.

Real dumb.

Tactically speaking...

The simple showing of your gun as an intended threat (to intimidate) is brandishing.

Pointing it at someone is a whole other legal charge.
