Now What Do I Do?

I think it's a fair point, though, that perceived recoil is going to vary from person to person and from gun to gun.

ShawnC How would gun weight affect your lady. Does she do phisical work and a tough gal or a girly girl. Not try'n to be a smart ass about it. heavy rifles can cut back on fun. Can she handle a mild caliber bolt rifle to she how that works out for here. If all is good CZ has the 527 carbine in 7.62x39. Nice rifle , accurate and still short and light enough to be enjoyable to haul around and still hunt with it. Ammo is cheap for fun time.
There's no way to answer that without getting myself into trouble. :)
She's not a little petite thing but I know she won't like carrying a heavy rifle all day. We'll go to a gun show in February and try out different stuff for fit. If she likes the way it fits her then I think we'll worry about caliber. I would expect that a mid size rifle like a Mini 30 or some carbine with a mid size or smaller round, would be within her comfort zone.
