There was some initial concern when Sweden started to contact folks on my waiting list. I did confirm, he contacted me & offered to help get more new members signed up than I could alone.

I would also like to confirm that Fburgtx also offered to help out & I also sent the list to him.

It's possible some of you might get contacted by more than one of us, as one may not be aware how far another has worked down the list.

A huge thanks to Bailey Guns as well. This is going so much better than back in Dec. Well, everything went fine in Dec. But it was just the 4 guys that got in. The numbers this time look to be really great.

And just to confirm since my last post may have caused some confusion. If you've already contacted me, you're in. No problem...as soon as I receive your info and get a form filled out with 4 names, I'll send everything in and notify everyone on my list.

This is great! I'm trying to imagine how many new Life Members will be signed up by doing this. I've got 20. I'm betting tuckerdog has done at least twice that many...not to mention the others doing it.

Thanks to Sweden, Fburgtx & Bailey Guns, there are going to be a lot of new NRA Life Members.

Times are tough, and several people that were high on the list I built, had to pass on the offer ( or just didn't respond ). With the help of the guys above, and the number that had to pass, we made it through the entire list, and I still have a few spot unfilled.

I have 6 spots for sure. There are two other guys I made the offer to, that I will give until Tuesday ( 02/24 ) noon ( central time ) to decide. If they don't confirm by then, I'll have those 2 spots as well.

These last spots are a 1st come, 1st served deal. PM me & I'll send all the info.

$300 is a good deal.

I just signed up my hunting buddy, an annual member , last week.
I became a Life Member in 1960 and if I'm not mistaken, the fee was $300.00.
At the time , a person could pay this off in installments.

1st form with first 4 people sent out today! I'm guessing 30-60 days before you hear anything.

Okay, the 3rd spot came open. But also had one "possible" taker. So back to two spot for sure.

Time is beginning to run short. I'm a little surprised these didn't go quick But times are tough. I'd like to wrap this up. So if no takers by Friday, I'm going to quit and go with the folks that have already said "Yes".

The mail has not arrived yet. So I hope more packets of checks & info arrive today. But of those that wanted to join, I'm still waiting on 10 envelopes. If they're not already on the way, please do it soon. I will send everything off on 03/09. So I need to get it no later than 03/07. I know that's well before the NRA's deadline. But I like to leave a BIG cushion for USPS error. My brother just had an Amazon.com purchase, mailed from a Calif. address to a Calif. address, take 19 days.

Just an update as promised to the folks that sent payment & info which was received by 03/07. Everything was mailed today.

Normally, I'd be done & just waiting to hear back from everybody that their membership packets had begun to arrive. However, one guy that really wanted in had to hold off, because he's closing on a house, and money is not available just now. He said he'd be able to have stuff to me early next week. So I told him I'd do another mailing for him on 03/18.

There are still two folks that said they wanted in, but their stuff has not arrived ( If I got your stuff, you were notified it arrived. So if you haven't heard from me on that issue, I didn't get it. ) If you're one of those two & I get your stuff before the 18th, I'll mail then.

Never did get my quota of 20. Had a couple drop out for financial reasons, after first saying they wanted in. Completely understand. Maybe next time around. Because of that, I can still take two more ( besides the guys I'm waiting on for the mailing on the 18th. ) If interested, shoot me a PM

I got 15 mailed today. Waiting on 3 & spots for 2 more.
Fburgtx & Sweden, how many more were you guys able to get signed up?

Thanks guys for offering this. I found out I could get the deal through a relative and did so for my wife and I. This is a GREAT deal and if you have the means I highly recommend taking advantage of the offer. :)
 
Baileys Guns took care of me just waiting for card to arrive I seen friday the cashed my check :) Should be good to go

I got my membership today as well.

Thanks to Tuckerdog and Bailey Guns for working this out for us.

I got mine through Bailey and Tucker contacted me a couple days later to let me know I was at the top of his list. Obviously, since I was set, I let that go so hopefully one of you took the opportunity.
 
I will be sending the checks/info to NRA tomorrow (3/10) as promised to the NRA. For all of you who are getting your life memberships through me, expect e-mail's tomorrow with the tracking number.

Thanks to Tuckerdog1 for helping coordinate this!! I was happy to help some of you guys get NRA Life Memberships (and save a little money)!!
 
Well, I'll bring this to the top one last time.

Congratulations & thanks to everybody that was able to take advantage of this offer. You all helped the NRA with both dollars and lifelong membership headcount. That helps all gun owners.

And thanks again to Bailey Guns, Fburgtx & Sweden for helping sign up more members than the NRA was going to allow any single person to do.

I think this time around, everybody that both wanted & was able to sign up did. After contact with Bailey Guns, Fburgtx & Sweden for final numbers, some of us still had unfilled spots.

Total new members confirmed between the four of us is 61. Might go 1 higher as Sweden was waiting on one more possibility.

There were other posters to the thread that were getting folks signed up locally. So I hope that number might actually double. If you added some new Life Members, let us know.
