NRA Life Membership, is it worth it?

If you want to be able to vote for Board of Directors you have to be a life member.

If you are not life member you cannot vote until you have been an annual member for five years without a break in service. Up until 2014 only life and higher could vote.

If you sign up quickly you can ask for a ballot and vote this year. Ballots have to be in by May 1, 2016 and they just came out about two weeks ago.

If you don't like the mail just call secretary's office and ask that your name be pulled from the mail to list.

Take a look at a March magazine and you will see who is running.

Take a look at a March Soldier of Fortune magazine and you will see who is running. I have found them at the big name book sellers.

You will have to do a search for 2016 NRA Board of Directors Election to get a list of the names running posted on various forums.

I wrote CONTACT US last week asking if I could post it here and have not received any response.

...If you think Obama is STILL after your guns. Or if you enjoy being played as a sucker for physical gold or other dubious schemes....

I guess living off the main land has clouded your views on what is happening here on the mainland. Obama, Clinton and Bloomberg are after our guns. No doubt about it. If you don't believe it then you need to pull your head out of the sand.

You can support whoever you wish. That is your choice. You can cry about how the NRA doesn't promote the shooting sports and/or Camp Perry all you want but you need to realize that the money we donate is fighting for our rights in nearly every state. Yeah, they need more money than they collect so they interrupt your dinner. Maybe your dinner but since I opted out of their marketing I don't get calls. Your priorities seem a bit messed up. You want the NRA to put their resources towards holding your hand instead of keeping our rights that you don't think are being threatened. Well, if the NRA had more than 5% of the people who own guns, maybe they'd have enough money to fix the things that are broken in your neck of the world. Money is what they need, not people who think their life is more important than the rights of the masses.

This hasn't been answered yet.

What is a patron life membership vs. a lifetime membership?

Patron, Endowment and Benefactor is the next life levels above basic life.

Yes, but the question is:
What does each level get you?
What additional benefits or???

Basically, the benefit is recognition of your donation above and beyond the call of duty required by Life Membership. It is a recognition that you have continued to be active monetarily in support of the NRA mission beyond the cost of Life Member.

I'll get there eventually, but I have to get back to work first after being laid off since early December.
