NUMBERS: AK vs AR. How many do you own?

As someone asked how many AK's there were, I wondered, as we did not start getting sem-auto variants in numbers until the Chinese made them, and the iron curtain dropped (1989). Since then, we've been flooded. Semi auto AR-15's seem to have been in civilian hands since the mid 1960's. I'll start. I have owned AR's, but currently have NONE. I now have two AK-74's, one AKM 7.62, and a Yugo M72 "RPK" type 7.62, so put me down for 4 AK variants. We'll probably not ever get a number on the total AR's and AK's in the US, but our forum members will give us some idea where we are at. Whatcha got?

I currently have just one...a solitary Saiga 12 (if that counts)...though I have other EBRs. I generally go for the oddball stuff, and that pretty much precludes ARs/AKs.

looking to get another AK though, probably a Saiga, then maybe an underfolder. I've been shooting the 7.62x39 a lot more as it's $200 per 1000 rounds. I sure hope it drops more.

3 AK's (if you count the PSL): converted Saiga .223 and a WASR 10/63 underfolder, and a PSL. Also a Saiga 12, if you count that, which would make it a total of 4.

No AR's. I may purchase an AR at some point in the future, but right now I'm very happy with my AK rifles. And I get to laugh when I'm sitting next to people with low-end AR-15's that they're fighting to make work even while I'm outshooting them. I had that actually happen. Two or three people with identical trash AR's that had all sorts of trigger problems.
