NY "law". Not surprised. Cuomo warned us weeks ago.

Cuomo gave an interview back before Christmas. Remember it? He mentioned all types of things to include confiscation. I can honestly say this piece of garbage that came down today doesn't surprise me.

I lived in Upper New York State when I was in the Army (1996-2000) and I liked the state and the locals. But I never liked that state government or how the City of New York dominated the rest of the state.

I feel for New York gunowners. If there is any good to come of this mess it is serving as a very real warning to the rest of us that the gungrabbers are serious and they won't stop. The law be damned.

Even if none of your firearms are effected by this so called "law" the way it was passed and the details of it should be very troubling. Very troubling. It should also indicate that nobody is "safe" when they (gun-grabbers) get going.

I had hoped that 1994 was the wake-up call for all of us. It was for me. I admit it. I was much younger and rather apathetic. Clinton and 1994 woke me up. I joined the NRA and I got involved.

However for some it wasn't enough. Maybe this will do the job.

Maybe.

I find the anger and disbelief interesting. Maybe now all gunowners (and I'm not talking about those of us here) will finally get involved. Maybe now they will realize that the gungrabbers don't care if you have an evil "assault" rifle or a Remington 700 BDL in .243 Winchester. They will take them all and you will be made into a criminal.

So I guess I should say thank you to Governor Cuomo and his Tammany Hall politics. He probably helped to get the NRA more money in donations and several thousand more new members.

Are people now convinced?

So much for "common sense" and "reasonable" gun controls. The masks have come off. There's no point in trying to "compromise" with these people. They'll take and take until we have nothing left.

That's how I was in 94 after the first AWB passed. I thought "oh Okay. Now everybody will be happy." But they weren't. They kept wanting more and more and I changed my attitude after a few months. Hell of a wake up call.

If you own guns, and aren't an NRA member, NOW is the time. It will never make more of a statement to the antis, and your help will be too late, if you wait any longer.

Change is needed...Supercities should be their own political entities. Not States, but separate from the State they exist within.

At the very least, cities with more than 5 million people such as New York, Los Angeles & Chicago outweigh and dominate the common American political scene.

The imbalance is starting to seriously hurt this country.

I knew it was going to happen, & theres more to come, there will be a federal ban on mags & almost garanteed on the guns as well. theres too much public outcry to do something.good luck with the fight, but i think its futile this time...

New York is a graphic example of how "the National Conversation on Gun Violence" is going to go down.

I don't understand your response. So are you saying you agree with goldie or disagree.

a very real warning to the rest of us that the gungrabbers are serious and they won't stop.

For those of us who are dictated by common sense (as opposed to emotion and ideological loyalty and blindness), we've always known it.

Aspects of the political condition are not welcome here, but Americans better wake the heck up and realize that you cannot continue to support Constitution hating candidates. Only an idiot would vote for these wolves in sheeps clothing.

We aren't going to have the luxury of being stupid much longer.
