Cuomo gave an interview back before Christmas. Remember it? He mentioned all types of things to include confiscation. I can honestly say this piece of garbage that came down today doesn't surprise me.
I lived in Upper New York State when I was in the Army (1996-2000) and I liked the state and the locals. But I never liked that state government or how the City of New York dominated the rest of the state.
I feel for New York gunowners. If there is any good to come of this mess it is serving as a very real warning to the rest of us that the gungrabbers are serious and they won't stop. The law be damned.
Even if none of your firearms are effected by this so called "law" the way it was passed and the details of it should be very troubling. Very troubling. It should also indicate that nobody is "safe" when they (gun-grabbers) get going.
I had hoped that 1994 was the wake-up call for all of us. It was for me. I admit it. I was much younger and rather apathetic. Clinton and 1994 woke me up. I joined the NRA and I got involved.
However for some it wasn't enough. Maybe this will do the job.
Maybe.
I find the anger and disbelief interesting. Maybe now all gunowners (and I'm not talking about those of us here) will finally get involved. Maybe now they will realize that the gungrabbers don't care if you have an evil "assault" rifle or a Remington 700 BDL in .243 Winchester. They will take them all and you will be made into a criminal.
So I guess I should say thank you to Governor Cuomo and his Tammany Hall politics. He probably helped to get the NRA more money in donations and several thousand more new members.
Are people now convinced?
