I would have been on that one. I have one which was my first rifle given to me in 1958 by a friend of my uncle. I would like to find another Model 511 or 512. Christmas is coming and my 8 year old grandson wants a "real rifle" to compliment his BB gun. I still enjoy that old Model 510, great accurate little single shot rifle.

Check out the Savage Rascal. .22 single, youth stock in tons of colors, peep sights, accu-trigger, cock on opening- Buds has them for right around $150 brand new.

I haven't been to a gun show since before Covid hit. (And I used to go to all the local ones.) In the meantime, I've found more collectible guns in a few months browsing Gun Broker than I found in years cruising the shows. The main thing I miss about the shows is the chance to see old friends -- the actual deals on guns disappeared years ago.

..the very fact Biden is doing a GREAT attempt to shut these down via new rules is all I need to know,therefore gun shows are IMPORTANT.

Comment period is open, no more person to person sales, no ''advertising'' , no ablility to sell for more then you bought it for/make a profit. Exception: if you sell it to your fffffamily (how wonderful of them! All Hail!)

Thanks on that. Gave his dad a Ruger 10/22 and all it was is a game of bang, bang, bang till the magazine was empty. This time for the grandson I want a bolt gun with maybe a 5 round magazine. So thanks again.

Have you looked at the CZ 457 ProVamint? I have one and its stupid fun with a suppressor... it's very accurate with cheap Aguila ammo as well. I shoot the 60gr stuff through it at 20 yards no problem. Sounds like a pellet rifle lol.

Gun show in my area a couple weeks ago had some real down to earth prices on new guns and lightly used guns. I was very surprised.

Of course then I went to cabelas and saw a brick of CCI primers for $154.

So...hit and miss in this area. Lol

Have you looked at the CZ 457 ProVamint? I have one and its stupid fun with a suppressor... it's very accurate with cheap Aguila ammo as well. I shoot the 60gr stuff through it at 20 yards no problem. Sounds like a pellet rifle lol.

I have a CZ452 and love it. Now discontinued but I have thought about the CZ457 for the kid.
