I still would go with the original tupperware gun, or in this case it's little brother G19. If I wanted a copy it would be an FNH or H&K. The XD and M&P are just the same thing only different, not better just different. I have some experience with SA 1911's (own a loaded longslde) they are ok not great just ok, XD is a big billboard and has a high bore axis, good gun just really ho hum. My first ever gun was a S&W model 39-2 circa 1978 later around 96 I got a model 59 it was a big let down, I have shot several S&W pistols and believe they should have stopped with the 39 and just made revolvers, same with Taurus and Ruger. I would recommend trying various pistols on your list, get the 92fs Beretta instead of the Taurus but they may be tooooo large for your stated purposes. Glock aftermarket and factory parts and accessories are everwhere and mags can be found for around 19 bucks. 9mm is cheaper to shoot and very effective in it's own right .40 and .45 are much more pricey, if you are newer to shooting the bigger caliber is not necessarily better. 9mm WWB 1000 rounds $240, .45acp $450 at Wmart. The more you shoot the better you get, and it is easier with the right tool. What do the LEOs recommend /or use?
