At around 12:00 am, you might just see a postban A2 lower with RRA trigger magically transform into an evil noban rifle with bayonet lug and scary things!

It expires ten years after it was enacted, which was 9/13/04. So, as soon as it hits midnight tonight, it's history.

According to the legislation, it is repealed on the same day it was signed into being...meaning at midnight Washington DC, it ceases to exist.
 
Wait, this sucks, I'm 4-hous behind here in Alaska. Any lawyers out there that can tell me about this? Does it expire at EST or whatever time zone you're in?

Semiautomatic Assault Weapon Update
By statute, the prohibitions relating to semiautomatic assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices expired on September 13, 2004. As a result, certain sections of the Gun Control Act, 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, and its implementing regulations, 27 CFR Part 478, are no longer in effect.
 
The optic is an ACOG.

I'm more interested handguards. I've never seen one set up quite like that, I don't think. But I'm also not a complete AR nut like some of our members.

Left foot is post-ban, right foot is pre-ban... Didn't have any photo editing software handy to crop those out...

The handguards are Knight's Armament Free-Floating RAS. Very nice gear when I bought it (the picture is just my postban A2 lower with my pre-ban upper on it); but there is better stuff out there now.
 
Well mine has been in it's current form for hours before the ban ended, but I will still post. I just got her put together today, getting the position later this week.

Happy Days!

Here's my latest, with more on the way! The AMD-65 was already together, I just took out the spacer and replaced with the spring so the stock would fold. The underfolder's been in pieces, ready to assemble, but with the FCG not installed. Only took me a few minutes to put it all together. YeeHaw!

Probably an EOTech 511 sight
Possibly a threaded barrel with a slanted muzzle brake
 
6 position RRA stock, threaded muzzle. A2 flash hider is on the way. now i just need to hash out the details of adding a front sight base w/bayonet lug w/my "gunsmith."

FAL is getting a flash hider too.
