I went to the Crossroads of the west in PHX, Az today. 80% of what I saw was more expensive than retail. I was looking for Magazines for my Steyr S40, I can buy them from CDNN for $20+shipping. the first guy I asked said he had them for $45 , most everybody else wanted $30-$32. I was holding one that was being sold for $30 and looking at it when I asked the guy if he would sell it for $26, he yanked it out of my hands and giving me the evil eye said "It gets old". I guess he meant haggling, ***? I thought that what gun shows were about, bartering, trading, trying to get a good deal. if I wanted to paying high retail prices without asking for a deal I would just go to..... oh wait, there isn't anywhere else here in Arizona willing to try and charge MSRP on used firearms, let alone new ones.
I guess going to a gun show now is all about trying to find that 20% of dealers with a soul like J&G who was offering many C&R arms for less than I could get them from AIM for after shipping and FFL transfer fee.
