O.K. time to fess up. What sort of peculiarities do you have in your taste in guns? I'm not talking about Brand names.

I've noticed that I like Parkerized finishes on military rifles, but not on handguns.

I like Stainless revolvers, but not stainless autos.

I like SA and DAO, but not DA/SA.

I like 9mm and .45ACP, but not .40 S&W

I like scopes on Bolt actions but not Lever actions.

How about you?

Nothing shiny/stainless, except those mariner shotguns. But I like fancy grips. Utilitarian rifles, ornate shotguns. Love .22LR, don't really like .223.

Regarding my taste, I like melted cosmolene drizzled over Breyer's vanilla ice cream.

I prefer the parked look over the blued, chromed, or stainless look, almost any day for any application.

I like iron sights on most guns, save for longer-range bolt guns.

And finally, my taste is best placated with a little bit of everything!

Oh man. I'm anti shiny anything. ('cept as noted above, those marine shotguns are neat). Don't like anything that's not black or blued. Preferably black.

I realize it's unreasonable. But shiny firearms make me twitch. Even brushed/satin stainless finishes. Don't own one. Probably never will.

I like .22 over .223, i enjoy heavy barrelled rifles and bolt actions. Semi is fun, but I like the action of a revolver. On the same note I unfortunately disagree with the looks of a revolver, though find a certain sexiness in those that shoot from the six o'clock. (could you tell?) Black powder is only good in my opinion for civil war mockups and the beverly hillbillies. Wood stocks for rifles, synthetic for pistols, and the kalishnekov is an absolutely hideous weapon.

Mateba = pretty much the perfect handgun for me. (in the longer barrel lengths, like 7")

I won't buy anything in stainless. I like my guns blued or black, but I love hardchrome.

Bead blasted finish look cheap to me.

I can't stand plastic parts. Plastic sights, guide rods, or coated controls all get replaced by something metal. Even if the frame is polymer, that's ok.

I love big bore revolvers. I like most anything, but I am really fond of big bore revolvers.
I had a 45 LC Astra Terminator, a blue, N frame style, snub nose, and I loved it.
I had a S&W Effector in 44 Mag, 2 inch, and it was perfect.
I would love to find a 2 inch S&W 624 in 44 Special.
I like the Charter Bulldog Pug, but I have issues with that cheap, excuse for a crane.

I am not a big fan of stainless rifles but I do own a couple stainless revolvers and pistols. The polymer framed guns don't do much for me and I prefer steel frames because of the weight and feel when firing.

I like black rifles and shotguns but I also like them with a beautiful walnut stock and a high polished blue. The cheap birch stocks that come on the standard 10/22 almost look fake.

like women....all beautiful, each in their own way.

my apology upfront if i offended any of the ladies here.

though i am partial to 1862 pocket police & s&w 60~5" & brunettes

I love polished stainless revolvers.
I like semi-auto pistols to be parker or some other dark finish.

I like unusually colored grips (like my CZ-52)

I think a black and yellow "wasp" paintjob is the coolest thing I've ever seen on an AR

I can't afford anything at the moment, but I'm fond of 'unusual' guns like the P7.

Since we're talking stainless, I'd *love* to have a highly polished stainless semiauto. Everyone's got black for some reason.

I like guns that are unique. Old guns are my first love, I grew up shooting a Remington model 41 made in 1937. How about a Model 1887 Husqvarna revolver chambered in .32 S&W Long? I've never seen another like it, and I can find next to nothing about it on the internet.

I love all guns, but mine are my favorite. I'm not sure I'll ever love another gun as much as my very first 870-my mom's gift to me on my 18th birthday. Still have it, always will.

I prefer all black guns, but I have a soft spot for the stainless as well.

I like deep, dark blued revolvers.

I don't care for multi-colored guns, or even 2 tone. Just 1 color...

Love 'em all, but have a special fondness for 1911's, and all things .45 Colt

If I take a step back and look at the guns I own, There have been some trends. I prefer bolt action rifles over semi autos. My guns for hunting tend to be more go than show(mostly black and ugly by some standards, i.e. savage .223 12fv and rem 700 sps .270) I have a soft spot for military surplus( mosin m44, 30-40 krag carbine). and I like pump shotguns( win model 12 1925 and rem 870 exp mag).

Everybody has their tastes and quirks, it makes each collection and collector unique,

Wood stocked Military rifles. Just can't find the beauty in a plastic one. The lines of the Colt SAA even though I can't afford/don't have anything even resembling one.

The bolt on the K98 Mauser, the sites on the K31

I shoot an awful lot of .38 special, but own not one gun in that caliber. Then again, I spend an awful lot of time removing powder rings from cylinders.

I like scopes on bolt action rifles but not on single shots or levers. And prefer revolvers to autos, and don't like auto rifles at all. Just aesthetics not politics.

I have found that my taste in guns is the oposite of everthing else. I like Chrome and wood (Not together). However with firearms I prefer plastic and Parkerised finishes. Stainless is ok as long as it is matte and not shiney.

I love long range shooting but don't like bolt guns at all.

That is all that comes to mind right now.

I prefer bolt guns to Semi-autos, Blued Rugers to stainless anything, and the only polymer gun I can stand is a Glock 32.

Just absolutely do not like polymer framed pistols.Don't like the way they feel in my hand. Don't even like the idea of them. I mean come on man, even my four year olds cap guns are metal.
