Place to shoot near Yakima, WA

I need a place to go shooting this weekend when my FIL comes to visit. Preferably a place that can handle high-power rifles as well as pistols and shotguns. He pretty much always goes to some public land to shoot and doesn't want to go to a pay range. I live in the West Valley part of Yakima and would like to find a reasonably close place. I've not been there, but I've heard of a place up the Wenas area by Selah but that's it for public land, uncontrolled shooting range areas that I'm aware of.

Hopefully the THR community can help me out! Y'all always have in the past.

I'd like to know this too -- I'll be passing through Yakima, would enjoy this as a pre-Seattle stop if there are any good places for low-hassle outdoor shooting.
