For me it's H&K USP Compact .40 S&W - Can't wait!

I have two XDs - love them, a S&W 629, Colt 1911, Ruger M3.

Voted Glock because I'm thinking of doing major work as outlined in the other thread you mention. An FN FNP, particularly the SA variant, could sway me though.

I'm not really in the market for a new polymer handgun.
My G36, G26 and SW40F meet my polymer pistol needs.
For those times where I need a smaller gun in 10mm kurz, I have my G23.
My KT P3AT and P32 meet my mouse gun requirements.
If I find a need to carry a full size polymer 9mm, then I have my Walther P99 or Ruger P95 available.
I think I'm good to go!!!
However, IF I were jones'in for a new plastic powerhouse, then I'd probably go for the new Walther, but only after the beta testers were through with it!! ;)

My next poly gun might be...

a Kel-Tec PF-9.

I realize it's not a super high quality firearm and performance is 'spotty', however I admit that I'm intrigued and may buy one in the not-too-distant future.

My next poly would probably be a USP .45 C. Had to sell mine a few years ago and haven't replaced it yet.

The one's on my must fondle list are the HK P30 and Walther PPS.
The why part is because the P30 has the makings of an exceptional pistol, accuracy, reliability, ease of recoil, longevity, adjustable grip...you name it. The Walther PPS has potential to be a good CCW with it's slim line, low weight and short height. Only the mag capacity is a bit low, but you get to chose how many...cool.

Of those that I now own, my favorites are the HK P2000SK, HK USPc, USP Elite and Walther P99c.

I can only vote for one brand so I voted H&K b/c the new .45 is something I've been anxious to try out. However, I have a sneaky feeling the new SIG P250 will be getting some $ thrown at it as well.

H&k .45

My next purchase will be a HK .45 either a USPf or the new HK.45. Already own a USPc .9mm and just love it.:cool:I have spent a lot of time surfing the gun forums and the only bad thing I can find on the HK is the price:scrutiny:.Its kinda like these foreign companies that make motor cycles that look like a Harley, sound like a Harley, But they are not a Harley:banghead::(. I'll stick with my HK's and I'll ride my Harley:D.

I probably won't get another poly gun for myself, but my fiance really likes the XD9, so that may be a future purchase.

only bad thing I can find on the HK is the price
Buy used! Used .45Fs are $450-$600; higher than a new Glock or XD, but not terrible. They're like cars to me - no way I would ever pay for a brand new one.

Hk P2000

My next purchase will be a HK P2000 in 9mm with the LEM trigger. I have always liked HK products and after shooting a P2000 at the range, I am sold on the LEM trigger.

I can't vote since I don't know yet. Its either gonna be a..

glock 21sf - cause it finally fits a human hand
walther pss - since its a badass backup and a walther
HK 45 - if those kraut bastages ever get around to releasing it

Glock. For: Mags, reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, simplicity, durability, accessories, weight and for all of this; you cannot beat the price!!

None.

I was asked to T&E a plastic gun, so I bought one, T&E'd it and it is still doing fine despite what all I subjected it too.

I personally prefer to never own another plastic gun. I really do not recommend them, except to a few close knit folks for special reasons.

One brand hates me. Just one of those things where the gun just has sights fall off NIB, or it breaks when I shoot it when it was running fine for the owner.

I've assisted with folks that had to use whatever make and all due to Regs, or that whatever make or model fit their hands and they shot it well.

Gun fit is the BIG deal in my experience.
I could give a crap less what Team Walrus uses, a Police Dept Uses, What a Gun School Instructor carries, what Acroynym Agency Carries...

I for sure cannot shoot a Model 70 in '06 like Hathcock could.
Wearing Fruit of The Looms like a Formula One driver wears don't mean I can drive one either.
Just because your GF/wife wears playtex bras does not mean she is going to have curves like Sophie Loren ...

Gun has to fit the person shooting it. Period.

For me it's a toss up I am either going to get one of four pistols, a Hk P2000SK v1 40, a Hk 45c (the new one), a Hk USP 9SD, or a Walther PPS (once the regular editions are out). I voted Hk because 3 of the four pistols are Hk.

My predictions for the results of this thread, Glock in first, XD and Hk fighting for second. Fourth and fifth will be a fight between S&W and Walther. Sixth and Seventh will be Beretta and Kahr. Beyond that is anyone's guess, but I would figure Sig will come next, then Kimber then Wilson.

I never thought much of Glock, mostly because they look like a box of corn flakes. Last week a fired 50 rounds through a model 19. It was light, accurate and functioned flawlessly. Now that I think about it, I like corn flakes.

Cant vote since you dont have a " No earthly idea .. whatever i stumble across gun trading that is undervalued " option lol .
