Carry condition. . . . .

1. Do you carry with a round chambered?
2. Do you carry a gun with a manual safety?
3. Do you carry with the manual safety on or off?
Reasons?

1. Round chambered, mag full, two spare mags on me, 6 in the unit.
2. The Beretta 96/92 has a safety/decocker, never on when on the job or CCW.
3. See #2. No time, DA first shot is safety factor.

Carry method is Galco Shoulder rig in winter, SOB or Gould and Goodrich Belt Slide in summer. A Stoeger Cougar 8000 and 4 spare mags live in my truck.

Should Always be in the ready state.

I am older [52] and Although I only spent a little over 8 years in LE until being shot.[I quit a little over six months afer being shot-hip was shattered and I needed a total hip replacement-no active duty after that, just got discouraged] I was Revolvers only. I am Semi -Auto's ONLY, for over 5 years now.

1] I always have one in the Chamber.

2] I have guns with and without Manual safeties-I have no particular preference.

3] I NEVER have my safety on. I believe your weapon should be in a Ready state when there is even a remote possibility you will need it in a defensive situation. Modern auto's have a lot of Great Safety Features. [trigger safeties internal safeties etc.] The gun should be holstered if not needed anyway. Which is an added safety measure.

The Best to All!

3. Do you carry with the manual safety on or off?

N/A, but I do have one SA/DA gun that I carry with the safety on.

Navy Lt

Round Always Chambered. Imo It Would Be More Unsafe Trying To Rack The Slide In A Stressful Situation, Especially With A Da/sa Pistol.

1. Do you carry with a round chambered?

Yes.

2. Do you carry a gun with a manual safety?

Depends on the gun. Single action guns I carry have a manual safety. The DA/SA are decocked and unlocked. DAO have no external safeties. I change up whichever gun I'm carrying on a semi-monthly basis. I don't have problems telling which is which without looking.

3. Do you carry with the manual safety on or off?
SAO have a thumb and/or grip safety on, and DA guns are safety off.

Reasons?
I keep a round chambered because an unloaded gun is a really expensive rock. I don't want a SA gun condition 0 in my pants.

1- Yes (XD-45, or Walther P-99 in .40 cal)
2- Negative ghost rider.
3- I carry with a round in the pipe because if I am in the unfortunate situation that my non-draw hand is immobilized, or otherwise preoccupied I can still draw and make the bad man stop. Also, when in a stressful situation you will resort to the lowest levels of the best training that you received, and that is one less factor that I would have to worry about. Furthermore, I prefer to use the safeties that GOD gave me, the ones that every one has, but not every one uses, the safeties that are between your ears, and the one that is at the terminus of your index finger that is supposed to be wired to the primary safety between your ears.
