Milwaukie area. Go up the clackamas river to Memaloose road, lots of shooting turnouts, and I mean a lot.
As for distro, I have not visited this thread for a while. I've been out to Brown's camp area two or three times since, never an issue because I do go with others typically. Did see some methie's, I suspect, out there one morning scroungin up brass and finding mushrooms. They were harmless, but I did lock my car doors and carried my rifle out with me to setup the targets at 100yards. They never saw my pistol and I like it that way.
Also, there were two guys out there one visit that were just too nervous for their own good. I think they may have had an illegal auto or something, can't really say, but they sure watched their backside like people on the lamb from the law, it was weird. We all made sure they saw us with our 45s in holsters and kept spread out a bit.
If anyone is ever headed out to shoot, just PM folks who chime in here and we'll go from there. I'm not that into trying to form a club or anything, just meet new folks and plink. Last time we went, ??Rob509??? showed up with some really neat flipping targets. Awesome practice stuff, really put pressure on you to respond quickly. Was a pretty high dollar system that he manufactures and sells to interested agencies. It had 4 torso targets that would flip from edge on to face you. It had an electronic remote control to program it and what not. It was impressive. I'm not that much into shooting to invest in something like this, but it sure was neat and I would like to see ranges with setups like this.
