20, not 21, do not have a concealed handgun licence, YET.

I usually have a shotgun and a pistol with me, unless I plan on being out of the line of sight of my truck for more than a few minutes, as I am usually within alarm clicking distance or arms reach.

Every time I get pulled over (by the same cops, nearly every week it seems) they can plainly see a shotgun riding shotgun, and I notify them I have a pistol wherever I have a pistol, out of courtesy.

If I don't have a scattergun in plain sight, I will always notify them where I have a pistol out of common courtesy.

I've never had a one of them ask to hold on to it during our conversation. I have had a few ask to see and hold my pistol(s) as they weren't familiar with much besides their fancy autoloaders. After a condensed ballistic information session, I often get asked when the next time we're going shooting lol.

I am not required to inform them that I have any firearms inside of my property, I just do for common courtesy. If I was in their shoes I'd prefer someone letting me know.

God bless,
Jr.
