Finally got around to doing the challenge.
First up, my "silhouette" revolver (Yes, I know there are better firearms for silhouette. I actually own quite a few. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to convince our government that I "need" the licences so for the time being the Astra is what I have).
"Silhouette" load is a 180 grain cast plain base bullet over whatever a .95 disk throws using S265, a local powder (about 12gr).
OK, the last one belongs in the parallel thread.
I'm left eye dominant, but my left hand is very weak (As a matter of fact the gun hit the lintel over the shooting point after every shot, there was no way for me to prevent it, too weak). Either this is a fluke or a demonstation of why cross-eye-dominance is bad?
Next up, my carry gun. I shot this single action, like the previous ones. Lesson learnt -- the trigger is way too light for single action shooting (Wolf spring kit, which was fine in the beginning, but I think the gun is only now wearing in properly). The first shot got away from me completely, the others were also very difficult to control. And I adjusted the sights up a bit after this
For the fun of it, I also shot a few pistols.
The Llama XV is a copy of the 1911, except that the barrel is fixed (no toggle link). And it's in 22, of course.
(Sights need setting for windage I see)
The last pistol is one a friend's mother gave me (she doesn't want to go through our relicencing rigmarole). For obvious reasons I shot this one at 5 meters.
Thanks for the idea, it was fun!
