Powder Valley finally updated their website!

They now offer customer log-in for order history/tracking and email alert for sales/promotions - https://powder-valley.com/default.aspx?Page=Home

Server response is a bit slow but the website sure is much better than before!

Now, if they could email me when Alliant's new Sport Pistol is in stock ...

Gained some, lost some. Don't like it any better, dislike some things about it. Only thing it gained that could be useful is being able to have an account and search past orders.

The old site was simple, and simple is good.

nice. I really disliked the old site, it was clunky, hard to search, and it honestly turned me off of doing business with them sometimes because I didn't want to deal with it. This is a huge upgrade by them, well done!

I like it. And living in a one-horse town, their prices are better even with hazmat if I order enough.

I'd like to sign up for email alerts of specials but you need an account to do so and to sign up for an account you need your customer code which is shown on your invoices. Who saves paper invoices anyway?
Am I missing something here?

Every time a company changes their website they raise they prices. They fill the site with fluff and pictures when all I need is simple links all in one spot. I like the old site better but then again, I'm old too...

I agree the new website has it's pluses and minuses, but so does the old one. Just different pluses and minuses. IMHO, no worse than a lot of other sites. It won't discourage me from saving money with them when I get the chance.

Heck the worst site ever was Natchez, then the updated and their prices went way up. Have not bought from them since.

I prefer the old site, easier to find items. I'm having a lot of difficulty finding items in a timely manner on the new site. If they did not have good prices and customer service I would shop elsewhere due to the new site.

Now with the new website you can backorder all items. If you want you can backorder the Alliant Sport Pistol and when it is available we will charge your card and ship it out with an email sent to you!

If you don't have your customer code just give us a call and we can get you setup! But you should be able to login with your email and your temporary password is "reload". Once logged in you can navigate to My Account to change your password to what you wish.

We are working on fixing how "slow" the new website is. Currently you can still use the old website if you prefer it. If you ever have questions please call us. Or we can always take a phone order too!

Yes we will be taking down the old site. We haven't yet, but it will be happening. When you search it the future it should re-direct you to the new website. The boss is deciding when to take down the old site, so I don't have a date. But, it will be soon.

The logo at the top wastes a lot of space. Yes, it scrolls up, but that just slows things down. Enough extra clicks as it is.

Kudos for trying though, and I am sure folks will like the new features. .

Same here. Best prices that I've found online for items I use. Just have to wait until I need enough to offset the hazmat fee. Last time I ordered, 2 friends and I went in together and split the hazmat and shipping. That worked out well for us.

Interesting! One thing I learned "new?" today is that they sell "H. Red" reloading tools and only "H. Red". How'd I miss that? Hope that's not a personal bad sign.....we will see.....if I repeat myself next week....someone tell me.
I do like the new site.....easier to use improvement, IMO. Hope they are successful at speeding it up......so much to do .... so little time left.
