While posting for another thread, I found a "new" webpage for Powder Valley I have not seen before - http://72.32.90.5/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Reloading:Primers:Large+Pistol

This is a page for large pistol primers and I like the new "look", especially the amount left in inventory status for each item. :D
Also, I noticed they are showing the color of primer cups too!

bds,

Thanks!

How do you get to this page?

I've been a customer of Powder Valley for some time, and I've never seen this page.

Knowing when they are getting low on the items I use regularly would certainly be an incentive to quickly get in another order.

:)

Me too, neither.

I just clicked on the saved link for Powder Valley and got the same old same old page.

I browsed through the pages and looks like they are working on some of the pages as they show $0 for pricing and many pages are showing incomplete inventory. But still, you could use the new pages to find out the inventory status of the products you are shopping for.

If you have any ordering concerns, I would use the current Powder Valley link - http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/

Also, if you add HazMat items to the cart, it tells you how many cumulative pounds you have left ... nice!

My question is how did you find the new link the first time?

My saved link goes right to the old webpage.

bds,

Thanks!

I figured it out and got registered.

WOW! That new page at Powder Valley is great!

When any of our group is getting low on something, we put in a group order.

This new website is really going to help!!!!

As a network admin, I've seen situations like this LOTS of times.
Powder Valley is obviously trying a look to their website.
The data shown may or may not be accurate.

For the sake of expediency & accuracy, please use their old site until they instruct us to do otherwise.
If you try ordering from the link posted above, you may run into issues.

+1. Yes to using the current Powder Valley website for ordering.

I am sure Powder Valley will announce/switch to the new web pages once they are completed.

Actually, that site is their dealer site, not retail consumer site. Dealers usually have access to that site instead of "normal" online buyers. (although it's not protected)

But their "Dealer section" page indicates dealer pricing will show after you log in - http://72.32.90.5/WSWrapper.jsp?mypage=dealers_login.htm

If it is "dealer only" site, why have a separate "dealer" page?

Please enter your login information to see the Preferred Dealer Pricing ... please note, if you have already signed up on this page and are not seeing dealer pricing, your account may still be pending activation.

I got this today from John at PowderValley:

I have received notice that you have set up a password on a web-site we have under development.
Please be advised it is not active and is not supposed to be allowing access.
Please use the following – www.powdervalleyinc.com - anything sent through the other site just disappears at this time.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks

John

{ A little off topic} In addition to what Hondo 60 says, be careful when any URL has an IP address rather than a name and make sure it uses https (i.e. secure). I see that Powder Valley is not using https until you go to pay, which is okay; just don't enter payment info until it's https. New browsers will warn you if the name does not agree with the https certificate. When in doubt, check the certificate which to the left of the https://

I want to know if the will EVER get any Zero bullets in.
Great company.

The IP address for the old PV website is 209.237.161.239

The IP address in your URL is 72.32.90.5 and is registered to aeonpartners.net

I would say that you are looking at an under-development website on the web developer's server.
