YAWN...
If you notice that Mr. Speir has gone to great pains to document all the cases of failure in a Glock that he can. Some of these "failures" are admitted to be due to bad ammo. That leaves a handful of pistol failures with no conclusive evidence as to why any of them failed.
Let's see, 10 failures out of several million in use...that sounds like pretty good odds to me.
I love it when internet geniuses discover the same six failures and post them here as if it the latest freakin news flash. Are they so insecure in their own armament that they get jollies posting the same 0.001% failure rate as if that is a bad thing.
Thanks Wally, you just proved by finding the absolute best site about Glock failures and how pitiful the results are just how great the Glock design is.
Now, I need to get back to my G23, 1911, P245 and M67 because at least they like to play together. We all know that only people who own a G23, 1911, P245 and M67 are perfect!
EDIT: I almost forgot, Speir's site has virtually no information as to what lead up to the few failures that he has managed to dig up. Some are just pictures or videos with no background whatsoever. Who knows how many rounds have been fired through it already, what loads were used/abused, whether it ever was cleaned or not, etc.
After reading these same incidents year after year I still have not seen one incident scientifically documented as to shooting history, cleaning and care, and failure analysis. You would think that if Glocks blow up as often as some like to portray them that there would be a mountain of documentation, lawsuits, and scientific analysis as to why the Glock design is inherently poor.
Get over your plastic envy and go shoot your favorite pistol whatever it is.
