Question regarding Disassembled firearms and SC gun laws

I live in South Carolina. My question is in what manner I am allowed to carry my Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in my vehicle. I know that carrying a loaded handgun in the glove box or console is legal, but being as this is classified as a long arm and won't fit in the glove box, does it still have to be in the trunk?

Basically, can I carry it folded, with a loaded mag inserted say, under the front seat?

For those of you not familiar with the S2K, it is a folding carbine with a 16" barrel. In its folded state it is impossible to fire the gun, somewhat like a break-action shotgun.

I know you can carry shotgun and rifle in back in pickup but loaded I dont know.

I have been through Title 16 Chapter 23 and Title 23 Chapter 31 and I can't find anything regulating the transportation of regular long arms on public roads. Maybe something in game laws? I looked yesterday after reading the gun racks in trucks thread. I just can't find anything addressing this.

I would think you would be fine according to SC Statute:

SECTION 16-23-460. Carrying concealed weapons; forfeiture of weapons.

Any person carrying a deadly weapon usually used for the infliction of personal injury concealed about his person is guilty of a misdemeanor, must forfeit to the county, or, if convicted in a municipal court, to the municipality the concealed weapon, and must be fined not less than two hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars or imprisoned not less than thirty days nor more than ninety days. Nothing herein contained may be construed to apply to (1) persons carrying concealed weapons upon their own premises or pursuant to and in compliance with Article 4 of Chapter 31 of Title 23, or (2) peace officers in the actual discharge of their duties. The provisions of this section do not apply to rifles, shotguns, dirks, slingshots, metal knuckles, or razors unless they are used with the intent to commit a crime or in furtherance of a crime.
