I have a full size grip XDM 3.8 and love it. I can carry it just fine but, I normally wear t shirts and cargo shorts. The Hell Cats are small and seam to be all the rage. The Shield is a comfy carry and shoots nice mine is the older 9 shooter. The new Shield Plus gets a lot of Press and every gun mag has a article about them.

My suggestion is taurus gx4 if it fits the hand comfortably. It's a clear step up from taurus, the feel quality and finish are top notch. The full length slide rails and ease of taking everything out of the frame are huge added bonuses.
As a general purpose pistol I really do like the shield plus but it's not nearly the great value that the gx4 is. Pretty much nothing on the market is with gx4 prices approaching 250usd.

I don't currently own any Taurus pistols at this time. But all of the G3 an G4 pistols I have looked at have pretty good triggers. This is especially true if you compare the G3 and G4 triggers to the old Taurus 24/7 series. I had a 24/7 Pro C and while it was a very accurate pistol, I never liked the mile long trigger pull on it.
