Hi Guys
I'm getting a "scout" type rifle built in .338-06 and was debating between the IER scope or a red dot sight. The red dot I'm looking at is made by Burris and has a 3MOA dot. The IER scope is a Leupold.
I would take it hunting for deer/elk/bear at ranges of 200yds or less.
Which one would be better for hunting?
Does any one use Red dots for hunting?
I also have a Guide Gun in 45-70 and thinking of the same type set-up for hunting the same animals at the same ranges.
Would the Leupold be better on the 338-06 and the Red Dot on the Guide Gun, or the other way around?
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreicated.
