Hello everyone, been reading up on Remington-Rand 1911 on the forums and thought I might find some help on a question I have about my dads RR 1911 since there are many here that know alot about them. My dad bought his pistol a couple of years ago at an estate sale because he always wanted a 1911, and even though we have a good many guns, we had never owned one of these. It is a really neat gun, and although someone refinished it in nickel at some point in it's life, it's in really great shape for it's age. But while I was looking it over I noticed that it was Mis-stamped, instead of saying Remington-Rand it's says Renington-Rand. Someone at a gun show said this made the gun rare and fairly more valuable than it would be otherwise, does anyone know if there is some truth to this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
