weekly
My usual training regimen is:
good weather (spring, winter, fall) I try to get to the range a minimum of 1X weekly. I have changed my practice this year. I used to compete, and shoot 1,000 rounds a week with daily practice. I still had some habits from those years - each trip to the range involved loading tons of stuff, lengthy sessions, etc. Made each trip to the range much more of a process.
This year I decided that shorter, but regular sessions would fit my busy schedule (I practice law during the day, teach karate evenings, also teach constitutional and criminal law evenings during the academic year). So I pick one handgun caliber - .45, 9mm, .357/.38, and take 1 or 2 handguns in that caliber. One long gun per session. I take steel plates and paper targets. I shoot 100 rounds or so in drills with the handguns, number of rounds varies with rifle - mostly just basic target practice.
I can get a minimum of once a week, sometimes twice, with the shorter sessions.
In the winter. maybe 1-2 a month, and almost all long gun. I do some dry fire drills in my home dojo for hand gun.
