Ridiculous gun shop owner... the sequel

LMAO this is pretty funny. I must say that Stage2 sounds like he is in the right here. The two posters coming in sound like they are either THe store owner, employees, or family members.

Yeah this guy can run his business any way he likes. But he will never go beyond a few loyal customers with an attitude like this. There were a couple shops like this around here. Neither of them are still open. One would not let you check the action on the firearms because it would decrease the value of the gun to work the action.
And the other one thought that anything except a 1911, Revolvers, and hunting rifles, were not worth his time and if he knew you owned anything except the above then he would not deal with you.

Maybe a moderator should check the IPs of the "satisfied customers" and see if they're identical...

Regardless of the shop owner's opinion, if he claimed he could do the transfer over the phone, barring any material info left out by Stage 2, the owner was wrong in dismissing the transfer AFTER S2 drove all the way out there.

And there is absolutely nothing in the world wrong with that.

He can do business however he pleases. It is HIS business. He can even promise one thing on the phone and then change his mind when the customer shows up (after driving an hour to get there). Nothing wrong with any of it.

While it may be viewed as extremely unfriendly and impolite, there's still nothing wrong with it.

And when you want to fake a new account, or have a friend/family member do it to log in someplace like THR to whine that this is all being discussed?

Still - nothing wrong. Whining won't help at all with the business, but that doesn't seem to matter to anyone.

BTW: we STILL do not know if the owner has seen this thread, and if the two n00bs are him or his schills.

The proprietor is certianlly allowed to run his buisness however he sees fit. But he should not bitch when a wallyworld moves into town and steals every customer he has with their better customer service.

My experiance with the "Little Guy" in small towns it that they know they are the only gig in town so they know that no matter how rude they are you have no choice but to come back.

yep a&c's owner or employee are free to do what they wish.and when they screew some1 they are free to come in here and let the other 19000+kno about it.

stage didnt set my bs alarm off so i for 1 wouldnt patronize a&c if he had the last box of wwb 9mm for $1.50/50rds.ive run into the almost stereotypical gun shop guy arrogence before.i detest it and i never return to put up with it again.but also on another note i wont stand there and argue with them in their own store either.i will simply leave and pick my time and method of dealing with em.

this is a good method for outting these jerks and policing our industry.

A&c

been there it is about 15 minutes from my house lol it always seemed like a pretty good place i went in there once and it is the only place in belton or temple that has 20 gauge mossberg choke tubes it is a really nice little store i dont know aobut a one man opperateion but it is a small town thing it is built in the old bank

2 stage where are you located at i am in belton if hdenhier is that close to you you anit far from me....

Can do buisness however he like's. But stage is also free to be PO'ed at being told one thing and then after a long drive and waste of time and gas being told the exact opposit. He is also as free to take his buisness somewhere else.

I wouldn't go near that cranky jerk ever again. If it happened to me, I'd make sure me and all my friends NEVER gave that guy a dime, and I'd make sure I spent as much money as I could at his direct competitor.

Running your shop how you want is one thing. Getting cranky when your lunch is interrupted, telling someone you can do something over the phone and then saying no when they get to your shop (not because it was shady, but because of your personal jihad against NY state)...it's ridiculous. And if the guy sells Kimbers, he obviously doesn't have a problem putting money into the state of New York.

When people question why I might buy something over the internet, or at a big box sporting goods store, I refer them to stories like these. Some local shops NEED to be put out of their misery. The kids I've met at the Wal-Mart gun counter have been more friendly than some of the jerks I've run into at local shops.

any walmart sporting goods counter has always had at least a ten or fifteen minute wait and three workers calling for someoen from sporting goods unless there was a line from people he was already helping....or both

I was going to post a lengthy response to this, but I think I'll sit back and let you continue to prove my assertions about A&C and its customers. So feel free and continue to hammer nails in the coffin, but please don't insinuate that I am doing anything illegal. Not only do I check the validity of sellers that I purchase from prior to purchasing, but in this particular case I contacted the ATF to make SURE that I was TOTALLY compliant with any and all laws.

Believe what you want but facts are facts.

Kindly explain what part of the transfer was not legal or STHU.

WOW!! What a thread. With stages testominal and the rather poor attitudes of the regular customers not helping. The goofy gunshop in question is bound to quite deservingly lose buisness.

Okay, if I was a juror and had to judge this case based on the two sides representatives, which side appears to be the one with the attitude problem?

If you are going to speak in a public forum, you have to understand that a whole lot of other people are listening. Anything you say can and will be used to pass judgement on you.

If you come on this site talking smack, at least present some facts or information to back up your ranting. Not need to insult or condescend.
