Picked up some of these a while back and have not had a chance to test them.
Finally had a chance to do a quick test with Universal and WSF.
Sadly I was having one of those can't hit :cuss: days.
I liked the bullets and am sure they will shoot better next trip.

Distance was about 8 yards. (1" squares)

4.3 WSF CCI SP RMR 125gr plated cone 1.065 OAl. Avg 1026 FPS
(pulled one high left, all were left......sigh)

4.0 Universal CCI SP RMR 125 plated cone 1.065 OAL Avg 1024 FPS
(This combo would have shot better if I did my part)

Somewhere around 1050 is where I like mny paper punching loads.
(was using some old wrapping paper for a target for the Universal, paper is to thin and tore out)
Planning on testing some more WSF and BE86, HP38, Powerpistol, Promo, Titegroup in the future.

Great shootin' Dudedog!!

Thanks for 124gr RMR bullet PIF Dudedog:D:D
I finally got around to working up some data with the 124gr RMR Plated Fn's and 124gr RMR RN that you PIF'ed to me.
Thought I would share my results:D

:what:FOR THE LEGAL DEPT::what:
CAUTION: The following posts of loading data tested in my guns chambered for this cartridge. Posts by other THR members contain loading data tested in their guns chambered for this cartridge.

OK, NOW MY RESULTS:D:D

Load #a86A__124gr plated RMR RN__Primers__4.6GR BE-86__1.160" COL__Mixed Range Brass sorted to 0.749" +/- 0.001"
NOTES: Target has 1/2" grid, 1" Bullseye, Shot with my (Stock) Sig M11-A11 9mm, Open sights, 10 yards, used 5 galon pail upside down for rest.
Managed a 1.5" X 1.5" 5 round group W/Moderate recoil. (3 shots were .75" X .75" group, will try this load again!)

These results show me that I can get accurate cartridges using Mixed Range brass and plated bullets!

AND you gotta love that BE-86 for 9mm:evil:

Are these the RMR 124gr hardcore match plated flat nose bullets, or something else? I could not find the 125gr plated cone bullets on the RMR site.

vaalpens,
RMR changed the name of their RMR 125gr plated cone (flat nose) bullets to RMR 124gr hardcore match plated flat nose bullets.
I believe they changed the name when they improved these bullets with a heaver and improved plating technique.
Maybe longdayjake from RMR could chime in here to explain?

Thanks JD!

I have not done any load workup in 9mm using the RMR 124gr hardcore match plated flat nose bullets (assuming they are the same), but I have done some exploratory loads. So far it looks like I will get good accuracy out of it once I start working up loads.

The following target is a 5 shot .82" grouping shooting from a rest @10 yards using my Sig SP2022.

Great shootin' vaalpens!

Get good accuracy when you START working up loads?:what:
Looks like you already dialed in your load!!

Now I have another bullet I'll have to try:D
Thanks for including your load info, very helpful!

JD, thanks for the nice comments.

I think the results shows that the RMR's are accurate and at least I did my job aiming the gun. The load will probably need more pressure since my POI is still a bit high.

We always advertised them as 124 grain Flat Nose. They used to be called "thick plate" but we changed the name to "hardcore match" a while back. They were desigend for accuracy but at first we didn't want to call them match bullets until we got some results back from several customers. We've been getting tons of calls from new customers lately telling us about how they have better scores in matches and how all their friends are switching from even MG bullets to ours because they can shoot just as well and pay so much less for ours. I can't say how exciting it is to actually see how much effort you guys put in to reviewing these.

And thanks to Dudedog for starting this thread and for your patience with us during the crazy time when you ordered and sorry for how long it took to get your stuff. And thanks for sharing your bullets with others. That was very Highroad of you. I'm constantly impressed by the caliber of people that frequent this forum.

Jell-dog, which pulled bullet did you get? I don't remember selling a flat point 125 pulled plated. I think we may have gotten some speer TMJ a while back. Is that what they were?

Possibly, I received the bullets in a PIF from Dudedog and I always label what bullets I receive as I get them.
They worked really well.
Oh well, I'll order the 124 match bullets FN from RMR.
Thank you for your response, great to have manufacturer's response on THR!!
JD

(EDIT)
Checked over my notes, checked my (now empty container) RN bullets were 124gr FMJ RN "pulled" not plated.

The RMR FP in my data write up look exactly like your 124gr Hardcore Match flat nose.

sorry for confusion!

I am not surprised. I have used Montana Gold bullets exclusively as my match bullets but these thick plated bullets with harder lead alloy core are quite accurate and I was impressed after my 45ACP/40S&W testing - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=9640761#post9640761

Wait until open division match shooters find out about RMR's bullets. Jake, you have enough bullets on hand?
If I shot matches again, I would not hesitate to use them for my match loads.

Yes the correct name is RMR 124gr hardcore match plated flat nose bullets. (jell-dog those where the plated cone shaped bullets I sent)
(just used to calling bullets that shape cones..lazy on my part, sorry for the confusion everybody, fat fingered the weight too....sigh 124 not 125:eek:)

I did load a couple of 5 round batches with BE86 for a chrono testing and was getting ??? with 4.5 (can't find that page of notes:banghead:) 1130 with 5.0gr and 1224 with 5.4. No pressure signs at 5.4. Listed max with a 124 FMC is 5.8. (Springfield 1911 9mm) OAL was 1.065.

I was going to load some more at 4.5 and will try jell-dogs 4.7 for accuracy testing as I usually like something aroun 1050 for punching paper for fun.

longdayjake, I like these bullets and hopefully will have some more tests soon.
(and need to order some more!)
I had to take a break from shooting for a health related issue.
Sending some to jell-dog is part of my  plan to get him to do load work ups for me. :D

Glad to see others are having good results with them as well.
Nice shooting guys!

Nice shootin' there, JD Looking forward to the 147gr report

A little extra effort goes into making the 147's. My guess is that they will be the most accurate overall. I hope to see some reviews from you guys!

Big thanks to Walkalong for changing the thread title for me, to eliminate the confusion.

Also a big thanks to all the mods for thier effort on this site.

Hopefully will have some more results with different powders this weekend.
I ended up having to work last weekend....sigh
I have
Autocomp
Bullseye
BE86
HP38
Powerpistol
Promo
Titegroup
(already tested Universal and WSF, need to order more of these bullets :) )
Any special requests from the above powders?

Dudedog, thanks for taking requests. It would love to see some test results for Autocomp and Power Pistol.

I'm looking forward to seeing your results of the 4.7gr BE-86. That is what I have currently loaded up for IDPA using the same bullet loaded to 1.09"...been thinking about press it a bit shorter for a more consistent burn

Good news!

I may get a last minute job change/promotion before my retirement that will relocate my work close to my sister who shoots matches with M&P40. It's looking really good and if/when the job change happens, I will probably shoot matches again using RMR HM loads.

Dang, I hope I can shoot better than her ... she is already outshooting most other competitors in her division. :D

9mmepiphany, I am thinking Glock 22 but contemplating using G27 which has been shooting well for me on par with G22 out to 15/20 yards (And this way if I don't win the stage, I can always say, "Hey, but I was using a subcompact ..." ;)

You could always shoot in a different Division.

In IDPA, I'm seeing a lot of guys going back to their G19, from their G34, and shooting in CCP; 4.1" barrel, ESP modifications, 8rd mag capacity.

It's going to be USPSA. Probably shoot limited 10 or Production.

Don't want to hijack Dudedog's thread with match shooting comments (I can post later in Competition category if/when I get the job change).

Ahhhhh, memories ... "Shooter Ready?" ... You bet! :D

Dudedog,
I also would like to see your chrono results of the 4.7gr BE-86 with 124gr RMR 124gr hardcore match plated flat nose bullets @ 1.090" COL like 9mmepiphany, but also @ 1.110 COL from my load data.
THANK YOU!!
JD

I was hoping to have some more test results with different powders to post with the 124s but I had to work Sat, was watching races being lazy Sunday and when I went out today the outdoor range was a madhouse.
The only pistol lanes open for hours were 25 yards. I can hardly see 25 yards now a days...let alone hit the target. OK well not that bad I can keep them all inside the 7 ring on a B-29 silhouette, (most better) but not good enough groups to post because at that distance it is me the shooter that is the major factor in group size. I have more bullets on the way so more tests in the future.
When I went get a hotdog for lunch the guys that own the range said they had had over 180 people there already. They open a 7am and this was around 1ish. Normally I can get the "permission use only" range which is like having a 4 lane area all to your self so you can shoot whatever distance you want between 25 yds to 12", but it was in use for the 5 hours I was there. :banghead:

I did manage to get some useful chrono info.
(I bought the super cheap chrono which does not give SDs I can caculate them but need to record each shot vel to do so. Wish I would have spent the extra $30 for the chrono with the remote and more features now...)

Anyway, all loads are my mixed range brass reloaded by me at least 2 times maybe 5 or more. No special prep for the brass. 4.7 BE86 thrown from a Lee ProDisk. I did not weigh every charge or do anything "special"
Pistol was my 5" Springfield 1911 9mm

OAL 1.09 4.7 BE86 Lo 1079 Hi 1104 Avg 1090 Es 25

OAL 1.11 4.7 BE86 Lo 1061 Hi 1083 Avg 1070 Es 22

The spread looks decent and it appears the .02 OAL works out to about 20 FPS for me a least.

I have more of the bullets on order and will get the Autocomp and Power Pistol results when I have a chance. (sorry I could not get good ones today).
I did load both 4.4 and 4.8 of Autocomp the 4.8 seemed bit better but hard to tell at 25 yards with no support. Will shoot some closer and minimize the big variable (me) soon.

Could you post the SD numbers?

- Ooops, read your post and saw that SD numbers are not available.

With range data from 9mmepiphany and you, looks like I am going to have to go lower than 5.2 gr and test 4.8/5.0 gr loads for 124 gr RMR HM bullets.

Thanks!
