Anyone know what the waits are from rock river these days. I purchased a customized CAR-15 on Feb 29th and still have not received it. Yesterday was 11 weeks. They originally gave me a 6 week lead time. Every time I call they give me a new (very) rough estimate. Like a whole month window. This seems crazy! They only thing they seem to know is that they have not shipped it yet!

Thanks in advance for the help!!

I dont know what the current wait time is from RRA, but if it was me, after that ammount of time I would ask for a refund

Can't imagine waiting that long on a manufacturer when there are enough Colts running around to make anyone happy.

I am waiting on two varmint uppers. Was told 6 to 8 weeks. I am not on the eight week and was told it might ship the end of the month. I might be looking for two new uppers if they do not ship by then. The problem is that they were a great price.

The wait depends on the model and the add-ons ordered and if they have the parts - they build a lot of guns.

The little I know I learned on ar15.com in the RRA forum. According to the employee who posts there, all the guns are built to order and the customized guns take the longest if they have to wait on a part or two from a vendor. They don't stock guns that are ready for shipping; they're building them as fast as they can as soon as all of the necessary parts are in hand.

The best way to track an order is to have the dealer call with the Purchase Order number. Even then, they have to sort through a lot of paperwork - thouands of orders - to find it.

Uppers and lowers are a whole 'nother story; it appears that the priorty goes to building complete guns.

That's all I know, I bought mine in a private sale about 4 miles west of here. Found his ad on a BMW forum with a google search on the RRA model I was looking for.

Tomorrow will be 13 weeks and still no word. This is getting quite frustrating. I work in manufacturing and if we had this kind of trouble with delivering on time we would end up without customers. I can tell you where your product is in manufacturing at any point of assembly.

Well the day after I posted on this thread my upper arrived. It took eight weeks almost to the day. I think they were worth the wait. When I called them I told them I might have to cancel since they were being used for a hunting trip at the end of the month. A few days later they were at the door. Good luck...

Too much business can be a self-correcting problem. Customers grow tired of waiting and move on to a competitor. They also likely never return.

Everyone is in the same situation. DPMS is 18K guns behind. 14K receivers behind. I am at about 12 weeks on a DPMS LRT-SASS and don't expect to see it for another 6.

On recent orders I've placed with RRA at work have I've been told 8-12 weeks weeks minimum on complete guns. They have told me that complete guns get priority, so 6 to 12 months on upper or lower halves depending on configuration.

LMT is 8 to 12 weeks on any part, upper, lower, or complete gun.

S&W, Bushmaster, and DPMS are slightly easier to get because they're available direct and through distribution. However, most distributors only have few different configurations in stock at any given time, and if it's not in stock we're back to the 8-12 week wait times.

People really are worried about the November election, and Ar-15s are selling at a very fast pace. I only expect it to get worse as we head toward November.

Don't order from the manufacturer if you can help it. It takes a long time to get it usually and almost always costs more than you can get it anywhere else.
