I just puchased one of these guns from SOG and the Double Action trigger pull is very hard. The SA feels fine. I've cleaned it well. I got a Bulgania Mak with the same shippment, and the mak's tigger feels about like half the pull.

Does anyone have one of these guns and what are your observations about it?

Thanks,
Chris

Aren't the Carpatis copies of the Walther PP/PPK series? My Walther PP has one of the worst DA trigger pulls I have ever experienced while the SA is OK. The Russians (Comrade Makarov)did a better job of designing the trigger mechanism of the Makarov pistol than Herrn Walther, IHMO. Sometimes the Germans are not the best engineers.

Yes it is a copy of a walther. So heavy DA trigger pull is normal eh? Well I guess I can always cock the hammer.

Thanks

The Carpati....is the worst trigger around...sorry. I like the gun..just not the d/a pull.
Most FEG guns have bad d/a pull and they arent as bad as the little Romanian shooter....
The bugger is to get the trigger nice may cost you as much as the gun...Shoot well

Yea, ive noticed a VERY heavy DA trigger pull on my md95, other than that it is fun to shoot - i was suprised by its accuracy!

If you ever find someplace that sells magazines/parts/accessories please, please let me know...

I don't know where to get extra's or parts. Sorry.

I took the m95 and shot about 75 rounds through it tonight. I had some problems with it not wanting to go to battery (load the bullet right?) Anyway it was piss poor with a box of cci, and did a lot better with S&B.

I took it apart and polished the ramp with my dremmel and we'll see if that help any.

The gun I got was pretty good. I am new to gun collecting, so I'm not sure, but I wouldnt call it excellent but very good. The hammer and saftey are painted brown, (not the same color as the gun) and there is a little surface rust on the slide(I am working on this) .

I did get a TT33 Tokarev that was in excellent shape. I took them all apart and cleaned them really good. I actually grew fonder of the guns as I cleaned them.

For 120-130 the Bulgies are a deal, and at 160 the TT's are a steal, IMHO.
