I bought a used GP100 from a pawn shop, and it didn't have a manual.

Called Ruger last Tuesday. Got a manual in the mail today at no charge.

Excellent customer service in my book.:)

My experience has been good too. I have an LCP that is part of the recall. They sent a shipping box and a return UPS label for me to use. Made the fix for free and threw in an extra mag with finger grip.

Ruger also has pdfs of its manuals on its website. Even its older models. I think most manufacturers want to get the manual into the hands of owners for safety and liability reasons.

This issue with the manual was evidence of Ruger listening to the lawyers and not necessarily with the customer. Listening to the lawyers is also why Ruger recently stopped making the simple decock only models of the P-series. They claim it was because of "lagging sales" but when you only push the "lawyer friendly" manual safety models to the distributors, and customers have no choice unless they buy another brand, I don't call that listening to customers.
