No disrespect to Jeff, I really liked his videos and reviews. But guns like this have very little appeal to me. Whether they are tribute to a personality or an event. I buy a gun to use it not as a memorial to a person/event. YMMV

I agree about the commemorative part but a blacked out 4" half lug 44 Special does have appeal to me.

Agreed, and a 4-inch half lug 10mm Auto version has even more appeal to me for sure. It's a good looking revolver for a Ruger.

I was a fan of Gunblast and Jeff Quinn. So enthusiastic and he and I liked the same kinds of guns.

I also wish this was in another GP100 chambering.

I really like the blued GP-100s with wood furniture. .44 special is a great cartridge when loaded properly.

Rugers are usually 75-80% of MSRP. This one will probably be higher. I'll probably have to get it off Gunbroker because my local dealer doesn't seem to get any attention from Lipsey's. Guns are shipped from them according to preference, not the order in which they were placed.

As long as they don’t up the price because of the grips a .44 special gp100 is awesome along with the 1/2 lug barrel. Just replace the grips and store the originals and shoot away. Who cares what the serial # is?

Jeff Quinn was a great guy .. I have had numerous conversations with him over the years
He was a fan of Ruger & the 44spl cartridge

I agree, having fired both .44 special and .44M handguns, for a solid thump, and easier recoil in a smaller package this .44special is attractive. If stepped up to .44M prefer a longer barrel, and underlug!

I REALLY like my 5" full lug, having a 4" half lug would make for a really nice pair........
