I just recent got a Ruger GP100 in 357magnum finally got a chance to shoot it today and oh my this is probably the most accurate handgun I own and it’s fun to shoot! Shot several 357 mag and 38 special
Good for you ! I also have one with the 4" barrel. It is more accurate than I can shoot. I'm reloading for it and the lever action rifle I got a couple of years later to pair with it. Have fun !
You are going to enjoy that GP100. I have a blued 6" version. I'm so lucky with DA 357s. The only thing that keeps the GP from being my favorite is I also have a stainless 6" Security Six with a fantastic trigger and a Stainless 7.5" Redhawk from the original release in the 1980s. Pity poor me having to decide which ones to take to the range each time. SIGH!
Had a local gunsmith do a trigger job on mine. I’m still amazed every time I go back to the GP 100 after shooting other revolvers. It’s as smooth as silk. I rarely shoot 357 just 38 special. Mine dates back maybe years now. Pictured.
My oldest boy bought a Match Champion last summer. Somehow it doesn’t seem to handle the same.
My 6" gp100 has been my favorite range gun for about 8 years. It's seen a lot of use and shows no sign of wearing out with about 7000-8000 rounds fired
