I need y'alls advice.

I’m looking at 2 models of 357 revolvers at Bass Pro. This gun will be carried mostly on my farm in the event I get a shot at a predator or the occasional deer.

Both have 4” barrel and both are medium framed guns

Ruger Model GP 141
Price: $480
Blued
6 shot capacity
adjustable rear sight
I can order the stainless. The additional cost will be getting me close to the S&W price

S&W Model 619
Price: $550
Stainless
7 shot capacity
fixed sights

Also, I live in Middle, TN... anyone know of a shop that could beat those prices?

Just picked up the GP100 (specifically the 141) last week and took it to the range 2 days later. I absolutely love that gun. Put about 100 .38's and 50 .357's through it that day. The sight was quick and easy to adjust with my multi tool when changing loads. Adjustable sights were a big factor for me. I thought the Ruger grip was better in my hand too. Personal preference.

The S&W M619 is a great revolver. It is also very accurate and there's nothing wrong with having an extra round in the cylinder. If you want adjustable sights the M620 is the same exact revolver except for the sights.
